Tips and ideas for the season

In the spring and summer, it is wonderful to enjoy yourself in and around Dolceacqua. Enjoy a morning walk when temperatures are pleasant. Dolceacqua is about 7 km from the Ligurian coast, giving you access to beautiful beaches within 15 minutes. During the summer months, Dolceacqua and its surroundings bustle with traditional sagre, local festivals dedicated to local products, music and culture. In addition to the sagre, Dolceacqua organizes other events around the feast day Ferragosto, in mid-August, such as gourmet evenings and a magnificent fireworks show. In the seaside town of Bordighera you can enjoy a culinary tasting, from July 28-30, where all restaurants offer small bites ( for a fee) on the promenade.

Take a dip in the refreshing lakes and waterfalls of Rocchetta Nervina, 15 min away from Dolceacqua.

Visit the market, Tuesday and Saturday, of San Remo where a visit to the Mercato should not be forgotten to see all the goodies on offer.
A trip to beautiful French Menton with its picturesque colors of houses is also worthwhile.

Tip: Take the train from Ventimiglia towards France and visit the most beautiful places from there.
